The framework is intended to provide a clear way to allocate and re-allocate fishing resources. Commonwealth-managed fisheries are those that generally occur outside 3 nautical miles from the shore. You can find more about each fishery  from the Australian Fisheries Management Authority&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afma.gov.au\/fisheries\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Survey Open<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To help inform the drafting of a framework the Australian Government is inviting all fisheries stakeholders, including recreational fishers to have their say and express their needs for the fishery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/haveyoursay.agriculture.gov.au\/sharing-fisheries-resources\/survey_tools\/fisheries-resource-sharing-survey\">survey<\/a> is open until &nbsp;<strong>21&nbsp;October 2019<\/strong>.
