{"id":7602,"date":"2021-05-03T12:00:03","date_gmt":"2021-05-03T01:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vrfish.com.au\/?p=7602"},"modified":"2021-05-05T12:02:06","modified_gmt":"2021-05-05T01:02:06","slug":"grants-open-for-clubs-through-sport-and-recreation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vrfish.com.au\/2021\/05\/03\/grants-open-for-clubs-through-sport-and-recreation\/","title":{"rendered":"Grants Open for Clubs through Sport and Recreation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Last year, VRFish was <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/vrfish.com.au\/2020\/08\/17\/vrfish-endorsed-as-state-sport-and-recreation-body\/\" target=\"_blank\">endorsed as a State Sport and Recreation Body by Sport and Recreation Victoria<\/a> which unlocks much-needed funding for our member fishing clubs and associations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sport and Recreation Victoria have announced that applications are now open for the&nbsp;<em>Sporting Club Grants Program (Round 2)<\/em>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<em>Community Sport Sector Short-term Survival Package (Round 3)<\/em>. We&#8217;re encouraging our member fishing clubs to apply for grants through the programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sporting Club Grants Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sport and Recreation Victoria have announced that applications for the&nbsp;Sporting Club Grants Program Round 2 are now open. <br><br>These grants provide opportunities for our clubs to&nbsp;improve their capacity and accessibility, purchase essential uniforms and equipment, and increase the skills of club officials. There is also funding to assist in ensuring clubs are COVIDSafe,&nbsp;and assist in return to sport initiatives. Finally, there is funding available for irrecoverable costs associated with the five-day lockdown in February.&nbsp;<br><br>Under the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sport.vic.gov.au\/grants-and-funding\/our-grants\/sporting-club-grants-program\" target=\"_blank\">Sporting Club Grants Program<\/a>, there are five funding categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Uniforms or Equipment<\/li><li>Skill Development<\/li><li>Organisation Operational Capacity<\/li><li>COVID-19 Recovery<\/li><li>Circuit Breaker Event Support<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications close on&nbsp;<strong>Tuesday 11 May 2021 at 5pm&nbsp;<\/strong>(or until funding is exhausted).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information and to apply, visit Sport and Recreation Victoria&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/sport.vic.gov.au\/grants-and-funding\/our-grants\/sporting-club-grants-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sporting Club Grants Program<\/a> website here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Community Sport Sector Short-term Survival Package<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sport and Recreation Victoria have announced that applications for the Community Sport Sector Short-term Survival Package are now open. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Stream 2&nbsp;&#8211;<\/strong>&nbsp;in Round 3, grants of up to $2,500 are available for associations and leagues and grants of up to $1,500 are available for individual clubs and community sporting and active recreation organisations that have not previously received funding from this program.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications from associations, leagues, clubs and community sport and active recreation organisations, that have&nbsp;<strong><em>not previously been funded under this survival Program*<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong>close on&nbsp;<strong>Tuesday, 18 May 2021 at 5pm&nbsp;<\/strong>(or until all available funding has been exhausted).&nbsp;<br><br>We know several of our member organisations&nbsp;received funding in the previous round of the&nbsp;<em>Community Sport Sector Short-term Survival Packag<\/em>e. If your organisation is a previous recipient:&nbsp;<br>*<em>Previous grant recipients will be paid an automatic top-up grant from June 2021, provided they still meet the program eligibility criteria \u2013 these organisations&nbsp;will not&nbsp;need to submit a new application to receive this top-up grant.
