Weedy sea dragons, octopi, giant smooth rays, and a diverse range of fish that many of us have never seen call the pier home.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will provide <meta charset=\"utf-8\">you with an opportunity to learn how to snorkel. You will then be led on a guided snorkel to experience the incredible underwater world at Flinders Pier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EVENT DETAILS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><strong>When: <\/strong>Saturday 26 February \u2013 two sessions 9:00am \u2013 12:00pm and 1:00 \u2013 4:00pm<\/li><li><strong>Where: <\/strong>Flinders Pier \u2013 meet on the grass near the boat ramp<\/li><li><strong>What to bring: <\/strong>sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses etc), towel and bathers.<\/li><li><strong>RSVP: <\/strong>Bookings are essential. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com.au\/e\/snorkel-flinders-pier-saturday-26-february-tickets-249789285477\" target=\"_blank\">Secure your spot via Eventbrite.<\/a><\/li><li>All equipment and training will be provided along with some tasty snacks after the snorkel.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ABOUT THE EVENT ORGANISERS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ozfish.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OzFish Unlimited<\/a> is a not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to helping Aussie recreational fishers look after the health of their rivers, lakes and estuaries and shore up the future of the sport they love. OzFish often partners with fishers and the broader community to invest time and money into the protection and restoration of our waterways, aiming to counteract decades of degradation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fishcare.org.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fishcare<\/a> is a community operated not-for-profit with the motto \u2018We fish, we care\u2019. Their work promotes responsible fishing practices and increased stewardship of Victoria\u2019s aquatic environments and is funded through the Recreational Fishing Licence trust fund. Fishcare is operated by enthusiastic volunteers with regional groups across Victoria, from Warrnambool in the west, to Ballarat and as far east as Mallacoota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vnpa.org.au\/programs\/reefwatch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reef Watch<\/a> is the marine citizen-science program from the Victorian National Parks Association.
