This advice underpins sustainable fisheries management, builds better fisheries and importantly makes fishing better for everyone.

People new to fishing, such as children, who are starting their fishing journey need to be supported by all fishers to help instil the right ethics and behaviours early on.

The exciting thing is we are continually discovering new information about our favourite species and how we can improve our fishing. All of us have a role to play to look after our fisheries and engage in responsible fishing practices.
