Floatsafe Lifejacket Inspection Clinics Hosted by MSV

Victorian fishers, boaters and paddlers are invited to attend free clinics to learn how to service and maintain their lifejackets to help them stay safer on the water.

Maritime Safety Victoria (MSV) are hosting inflatable lifejacket clinics across the State. Participants can learn how to self-inspect your inflatable lifejacket by enrolling in one of the free clinics.

MSV says that many lifejacket manufacturers now recommend owners complete an inflation check every three months and that lifejackets should be fully serviced by an accredited service agent every 3 to 5 years.

Clinics will be held during January, February and March at a range of locations including: Rhyll, Warrnambool, Altona, Leopold, Patterson River, Shepparton, Bendigo, Hastings.

All participants receive a $30 voucher to a local marine retailer towards a new lifejacket, lifejacket service kit, or other safety gear.
