Coliban Flow To Help Water Quality

Water for environment will flow in the Coliban River between Malmsbury and Eppalock reservoirs next week, to build on the benefits of last year’s floods and improve local water quality.

About 50ML a day will flow on April 21, 22, and 23 to give vegetation that grew as a result of the 2022 high flows a much-needed drink.

It will also encourage water bug numbers to grow, a key food for native small-bodied fish.
