Jacksons Creek Regional Parklands Suburban Parks Program

In 2018, the Victorian Government committed to create the new Jacksons Creek Regional Parklands near Sunbury in Melbourne’s north-west.

These parklands are being created to provide benefits for the environment as well as the community.

The Victorian Government has provided $154 million to deliver the Suburban Parks Program, to create more than 6,500 hectares of new and upgraded parks and trails. This will include the creation of the new 1,008-hectare Jacksons Creek Regional Parklands stretching from Diggers Rest to north of Emu Bottom Wetlands in Sunbury along Jacksons Creek.

This project will deliver the Jacksons Creek Regional Parklands Plan. We welcome community feedback on the vision and priorities for the parklands.

How to participate

DELWP are inviting the community to help shape the new linear parklands – tell them what you think they offer the community, what makes them special, and what will attract people to visit.

People can participate online via Engage Victoria, by filling in our survey, providing a submission or attending an online community information session.

We encourage you to read the factsheet to learn about the opportunities and priorities for these exciting new parklands before completing the survey.
