VRFish applaud Minister for Fishing and Boating, Melissa Horne, for securing $18 million in critical funding for works on our piers and jetties in a tight state budget.
The package will see rebuilding and safety works undertaken at the following piers and jetties: Hampton, Rye, Flinders, McLoughlins Beach, Raymond Island, Lakes Entrance, Williamstown and Mornington.
The funding will ensure land-based fishers continue to have safe access to our coastal fisheries via piers and jetties.
