St Leonards pier along the Bellarine Peninsula is one of the most iconic piers in Port Phillip and is a popular fishing spot for the local community and visitors targeting a range of species such as whiting, flathead, snapper and calamari.
After two years of consultation, the long-awaited St Leonards new pier design has been released by Parks Victoria as part of the St Leonards Local Port Area Plan.
The new pier will be larger than the exisiting structure, with a new finger jetty lengthened to 140 metres, widened pier head and pier entry. The new pier will be built parallel to the existing pier footprint.

Public Consultation: the external design features
While the structure of the pier has been carefully designed by maritime engineers, Parks Victoria are inviting the St Leonards community to share ideas on external design features and pier furniture, including seating, signage, and fishing amenities via an online survey.
Feedback is invited via the Engage Victoria website from Monday 20 October until Monday 17 November 2025.
