Parks Victoria is reviewing and updating waterway rules around the new St Kilda and Altona piers.
The proposed changes are intended to improve safety for swimmers and other water users.
At the St Kilda pier, the current no boating zone is aligned to the southern side of the former St Kilda pier. The proposed changes will align the no boating zone with the new pier.
At the Altona pier, the western side of the current no boating zone is aligned to the former position of the Altona pier. The proposed changes will extend the western boundary of the no boating zone so it is in line with the new pier.
Consultation closes 11 December 2025.
