Advocating for better fishing in Victoria

VRFish are advocating for better recreational fishing ahead of November’s Victorian State Election.

On Thursday, VRFish EO Anthony McGrath and VRFish Chair Rob Loats met with Minister for Outdoor Recreation, Steve Dimopoulos, and Shadow Minister for Outdoor Recreation, Melina Bath, to present our Election Priorities to both sides of Government and advocate for outcomes that are important to Victorian recfishers.

VRFish also plans to meet with minor parties and local members as part of our campaign to achieve the best possible outcomes for recreational fishers.

Keep an eye on our channels as we’ll be releasing our Election Priorities in the coming weeks.

Moving forward, we’ll be providing regular updates on how these discussions are progressing and what commitments the different political parties are making for recreational fishers.

It’s an exciting time to be a recreational fisher in Victoria and we will continue to advocate to make fishing even better, for every Victorian!
