Social Media Terms of Use
The VRFish social media terms of use and guidelines allows VRFish to inform social media users (including followers, members and the public) on how we expect them to behave and interact with VRFish online. This allows us to openly regulate and monitor any users who do not follow the expected terms of use.
We’re always keen to hear the public’s thoughts and discussions about VRFish and the work we do and, more broadly, Victoria’s recreational fishing sector. However, we may be required to hide posts, delete third party content/comments and block/ban certain users from being a part of our community when deemed inappropriate or illegal.
In doing so, VRFish reserve the right to remove any inappropriate material, including posts or comments that are:
- offensive, discriminatory, or use profanities and abusive language.
- abusive, personal attacks, defamatory, or reveal personal information about VRFish staff, members, stakeholders or other members of the public.
- misleading or deceptive.
- off topic comments or spam.
- in violation of any law, regulation, or third party’s rights.
- encouraging illegal or inappropriate activity.
Note: VRFish’s ability to monitor and regulate social media posts is limited to comments on official VRFish social media posts. Once content is shared, it is out of our control, and we cannot manage public commentary. VRFish social media pages are NOT monitored 24/7.
VRFish includes a ‘terms of use’ on our social media pages (where available) to communicate with our followers and the general public the expectations VRFish has when engaging with our official social media pages.
If you have any concerns, please contact VRFish directly via [email protected] or 03 5221 1104.
