Member Code of Conduct

VRFish exists to support, advise and advocate for our members. We greatly value the strong relationship we have with you. To allow us to provide you with the best services we can, VRFish members participating in VRFish activities, or engaging with other VRFish members on VRFish related matters, must adhere to the following code of conduct principles:

  • Members must demonstrate the highest standards of courtesy, integrity, confidentiality and trust at all times.
  • Members will treat all VRFish employees, members and volunteers with dignity and respect. VRFish fosters and supports a culture that does not tolerate violence, bullying, harassment or discrimination towards others.
  • Members should respect the dignity, rights and views of others by acting in a courteous manner at all times.
  • Members should not engage in conduct likely to bring discredit upon VRFish.
  • Members must not purport to represent VRFish, when making public comment about personal views (including political views).
  • Each member has a shared responsibility for ensuring, as far as they feel able, that the behaviour of their VRFish colleagues meet the same standards in relation to acting with courtesy and integrity and treating others with dignity and respect.
  • Members must act in the best interests of recreational fishing in Victoria.

Any breaches of this Code may be reviewed by the EO in consultation with the Board and may be subject to having their membership terminated under clause 7 of the VRFish Constitution.
