That time of the year is again upon us and it’s time to celebrate – to celebrate the opening of Murray cod season!
Murray cod is an iconic species that holds a special place close to the heart of many a fisher. And here at VRFish we want to do all can to make sure this fishery is the best it can be and is protected for all fishers for generations to come. One way we are doing this is by asking Murray cod fishers to help out and contribute to our online survey, the VRFish “Survey of Murray Cod Handling and Awareness of Catch Limits”.
The survey will build on our understanding of the Murray cod fishery and as well as current fish handling practices and values, which will in turn assist us in better educating and informing anglers and help ensure a sustainable and healthy Murray cod fishery for future generations.
