After declaring Gippsland as Australia’s first offshore windfarm zone, the Australian Government has granted 12 feasibility licences for offshore wind projects off Gippsland’s coast.
To engage with the Gippsland community, the Gippsland feasibility licence holders are working together to deliver a round of joint community engagement events in Toora, Loch Sport and Woodside during July.
The regional events will provide an opportunity for locals to meet and engage with the offshore wind developers behind Gippsland’s proposed projects:
- Toora – Wednesday 23 July 2025, 4:00pm – 6:00pm, Toora Hall, 23 Gray Street, Toora
- Loch Sport – Wednesday 30 July 2025, 4:30pm – 6:30pm, Loch Sport Community House, 222-236 National Park Road, Loch Sport
- Woodside – Thursday 31 July 2025, 4:00pm – 6:00pm, Woodside Community Hall, Cnr Prince St and Austins Rd, Woodside.
The organisers are encouraging local communities to attend to learn more about offshore wind, upcoming project plans, socio-economic benefits and share feedback.
