VRFish, the peak body for recreational fishing in Victoria, is pleased to share that four of our experienced board members have been re-appointed and re-elected to continue their service on the VRFish Board following the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 12 November 2025.
To ensure valuable corporate knowledge of VRFish is maintained, current and experienced board members, Rob Loats, Rita Caulfield and Jingjing Nan were appointed to the Board at the AGM. Lee Spyrou was re-elected to the Board by VRFish members.
The VRFish Board has re-appointed Rob Loats as the Chair of VRFish. Rob announced this will be his final two-year term as VRFish Chair and he will be looking forward to enjoying the outdoor environment and his number one passion, recreational fishing.
The continuing VRFish Board members join Steven Relf, Lydia Cahill, Scott Jefferis, John Spragg and Cody McLeod on the board.
We congratulate all directors returning for another term on the VRFish Board. Your continued leadership and dedication to make fishing better in Victoria is truly appreciated.
The importance of having a strong and independent peak body representing Victoria’s recreational fishing cannot be understated. We look forward to another productive year working together and representing the interests of Victorian recreational fishers.
The Board will be discussing Board Member succession planning at future Board meetings prior to several Board members terms expiring in the future.
VRFish has a gender equity board policy which has been maintained.
