A new boat ramp has been constructed at Pental Island giving Victorian fishers direct access to the Murray River to great fishing spots for Murray cod and golden perch.
Donald Angling Club received funding through the Better Fishing Facilities Grants program as part of the Target One Million policy.
Lifetime Donald Angling Club member and VRFish Chairman Rob Loats was pleased to inspect the result of the works this week.
“These works will provide enhanced access for fishers and families to enjoy a day out or camp over in the tranquil surrounds of the Murray River”, he said.
The boat ramp is accessed via Brooks Lane.
