Gippsland Ports are seeking feedback on the draft Port Welshpool Harbour Local Port Area Plan.
As the local port manager, Gippsland Ports is developing a Local Port Area Plan for the Port Welshpool Harbour. It’s time to have your say on the draft plan.
Public consultation in 2023 was used to inform the draft plan. According to Gippsland Ports, the draft Plan considers:
- Impacts of climate change and coastal hazards
- the condition, longevity and maintenance of harbour assets
- Coastal processes and sedimentation
- Maritime safety and compliance with relevant standards
- Future usage for the Roll-on Roll-off Berth, Marginal Wharf, Ferry Terminal, Fishermans Jetties and the Slipway
- Demand for port services, and supply of berths and moorings, and
- Operational risk.
Visit the Engage Victoria website to view the draft Local Port Area Plan and complete the online survey.
Consultation closes 4 September 2024.
